2020 SHINETSU FIVE MOUNTAINS RUN CANCELLED

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) it has been decided that the yearly Shinetsu five mountain trail run will be cancelled for this year. This is the full statement from the organisers.

Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to cancel the 2020 SHINETSU FIVE MOUNTAINS RUN. We believe it is important to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the participants, volunteers, all parties involved, and society as a whole, and after careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the event. We need to get ready now so that we can move forward with our plans for the September race. We feel that this is not consistent with what the government, the medical profession and society are asking for. We are sorry foreveryone who was looking forward to this event, but given the state of the world around us, We feel it is a responsible move. We also took into account that many people are finding it difficult to train for the SHINETSU FIVE MOUNTAINS RUN. We wish you all the best for your safety and health and look forward to seeing you again.
Sincerely,

Hiroki Ishikawa
Race Director, Trail Runner
